I didn\u2019t get a ton of studying done today because I made two trips to NHU.\u00a0 The first trip was to turn in all my paperwork, save one letter of recommendation, which hadn\u2019t found its way to me yet.\u00a0 When I got home, that letter had arrived, so I drove back to deliver it.\u00a0 Danny at admissions said that the decision to admit me would come tomorrow.\u00a0 I sure hope I get in!<\/p>\n
Though sort of unintentional, I became obsessed with finding the perfect schedule for the coming year (creating two hours of wasted time if I don\u2019t get in!).\u00a0 What I discovered\u2026 if I\u2019m allowed to take certain classes in a certain order, I can indeed get through this program in exactly one year and be ready for the 2013-14 school season.\u00a0 This is FAR from guaranteed \u2013 a lot of stuff has to go right over the next year \u2013 but it does give me hope.\u00a0 Danny did say that some have accomplished this feat, though it is rare to do so.\u00a0 It would help if NHU published its class of schedules for the whole school year, but they only do so one quarter at a time.\u00a0 I used last year\u2019s records to fill in the rest.<\/p>\n
There seems to be a special situation where I can both become a teacher and work towards my credential.\u00a0 If I can pass my CSET test, and if I can get permission from the district (based on need, and at my wife\u2019s school, there is a need), I can become an intern teacher for up to two years.\u00a0 I should pursue this\u2026 once I pass my CSET test.\u00a0 I guess I should study some more!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
