The theme of the day was \u201cstudy.\u201d\u00a0 More than that, today, I would study Ancient Civilizations.\u00a0 I read through a couple of books until I got tired at 2:30, and then watched a video lecture on the same subject.<\/p>\n
For lunch, Barbara cooked some wonderful French-inspired, breaded Tilapia with a side dish of pickled zucchini.\u00a0 The zucchini was OK, but the Tilapia was wonderful.<\/p>\n
She also made bran muffins.<\/p>\n
For dinner, she made petite steaks with mushrooms & onions on top, and a side of tarragon aioli; Lima beans and sourdough bread on the side.\u00a0 Again, all was wonderful.<\/p>\n
We had cracked open a bottle of Cotes Du Rhone wine to make the recipe.\u00a0 It was too bad I couldn\u2019t have a glass \u2013 I had to get to band practice.<\/p>\n
Band practice was a pure pleasure.\u00a0 I showed how God was pointing me towards teaching (sharing what God was saying to me through scripture), and they were encouraged by that.\u00a0 We got silly at prayer time \u2013 our group is so comfortable with each other.\u00a0 The music sounded good as well.\u00a0 I think this is the first time I\u2019ve been on bass since before my NY vacation (about two months?!).<\/p>\n
I had a glass of wine when I got home and watched the Olympics.<\/p>\n
Right before bed, I saw that one of my contract jobs had work for me.\u00a0 I guess I\u2019ll need to spend a couple of hours working on a chip tomorrow.\u00a0 I\u2019d rather study.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
