I haven\u2019t typed anything in almost a week!\u00a0 In part, it\u2019s because it\u2019s vacation and not much is going on.\u00a0 Also, my chip finally arrived in force and I\u2019ve been working long hours to complete it quickly.\u00a0 Alas, I don\u2019t have all that I need to complete this chip, so I\u2019ll have to finish it after school has started.\u00a0 This is not ideal.<\/p>\n
New Years was fun.\u00a0 We had some friends over and we played games until around 1AM.\u00a0 My wife\u2019s birthday (on New Year\u2019s) was simple and low-key \u2013 just the way she likes it.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow, I have my Elementary Technology test.\u00a0 Because I\u2019ve been so embroiled in this chip project, I haven\u2019t studied a bit for the test.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to carve out a significant part of today to do that.\u00a0 After tomorrow\u2019s test, I can return to the chip.<\/p>\n
Monday starts a big change in my life \u2013 student teaching.\u00a0 For the next three months, I will teach\/observe five days a week, and then four evenings a week, I\u2019ll attend classes.\u00a0 From when I wake up until I fall asleep, I have maybe three hours of \u201cslack time\u201d to take care of things and to be with my family (7-8AM, 3:30-4:30PM, 10-11PM).\u00a0 It\u2019s not a lot of time and I\u2019m concerned that my family won\u2019t be taken care of in the manner they need.\u00a0 On Friday evenings, I\u2019ll either have band or lifegroup, which then leaves Saturday and half of Sunday to do any homework.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to be one busy person!\u00a0 I hope I have the stamina for all this.\u00a0 Somewhere in all of this, I also have to write-up four major items towards getting my degree (called \u2018TPA\u2019s\u2019) and I have to prepare for my taxes, which is a pretty big deal this year because I was involved with a start-up, I had my own business, and now I\u2019m a student\/teacher.\u00a0 All have tax items associated with each category.\u00a0 And because I\u2019ve been working on this chip and doing my year-end finances (and in theory, studying), I wasn\u2019t able to put together all the tax stuff.\u00a0 I estimate that it will take three full weekends to complete and another weekend to go over things with my tax person.\u00a0 That works out to a third of my available weekends!\u00a0 I only have eight weekends to do all my homework and four TPAs.\u00a0 Yikes!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
