The weekend was pretty quiet.\u00a0 My daughter caught my cold.\u00a0 We watched Science Fiction together.<\/p>\n
Today, I was feeling a bit better, though I still had sniffles.\u00a0 A teacher was actually sick, so I got a call.\u00a0 She had three \u201cIntro to Bio\u201d classes and two \u201cAP Bio\u201d classes.\u00a0 I\u2019d like to say that the AP classes were both excellent, but one was on task, and the other was not.\u00a0 I expected that the \u201cIntro\u201d kids would not want to work (actually, two of the three classes were excellent!), but AP kids?\u00a0 I expect them to act like college kids.\u00a0 I was really let down by the last class of the day.\u00a0 Still, they weren\u2019t horrible; they just weren\u2019t as studious as the previous AP class had been.\u00a0 It was sort of funny that a group of boys in this last AP class were actually betting on whether or not they would get answers correct as they studied.\u00a0 I had never seen that before.\u00a0 It was some sort of geek gambling.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
