Today started with an interview at the district office for a substitute position.\u00a0 The interview went great.\u00a0 I thought I might be available to teach on Monday, but I have to get fingerprinted again, and I received a huge stack of paperwork to read and sign.\u00a0 It looks like I won\u2019t get this done until sometime late next week.\u00a0 Since fingerprinting was done at the County Office of Education, and only by appointment, I opted to call them the moment I got out of the district office.\u00a0 I got an 11AM appointment, so I went home, dropped off my stuff, and then went to the County office.\u00a0 Fingerprinting took all of five minutes, but it took a while to get there.\u00a0 On the way back, I got the propane for our gas grill.<\/p>\n
It was now 12:30.\u00a0 I guess I should start working on my finals, or that presentation that\u2019s due next week.\u00a0 I opted to play Minecraft instead.\u00a0 I find that I don\u2019t do well if I don\u2019t get rolling in the morning.\u00a0 I need momentum to get me through the afternoon.\u00a0 No such luck today.\u00a0 To keep my mind working, sometimes it\u2019s good to do something different.\u00a0 I am creating a Cathedral in Minecraft, a project that I estimate will take me 200 hours to complete.\u00a0 So far, I only have the foundation laid, and the beginnings of the crypt.\u00a0 We\u2019ll see if I get a chance to progress things over the weekend.\u00a0 At some point (probably Monday), I WILL need to complete my assignments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
