Good thing I went to Mission College today.\u00a0 The slides looked fine, but what was immensely helpful was going through the slides with my teacher.\u00a0 She gave me pointers about what was too much information and what needed more explanation.\u00a0 We also discovered that my presentation was way too long.\u00a0 This is not unusual for me, but it was a concern for my teacher.\u00a0 As per usual, she\u2019s running late on her class presentations, so she cut me down from 30-45 to 20-30.\u00a0 We decided to limit the entire presentation to before the Reformation\u2026 which cut out about 15-20 minutes of my lecture.\u00a0 Even so, I bet that with questions, I\u2019ll be in the 30 minute range.<\/p>\n
This evening was back to school night at the High School.\u00a0 I would follow my son\u2019s track, and my wife would follow my daughter\u2019s.\u00a0 Wherever there was PE class or a teacher we\u2019ve seen before, we would jump to the other person\u2019s schedule.\u00a0 I saw two of Courtney\u2019s teachers (and four of Jeffrey\u2019s), and Barb saw one of Jeffrey\u2019s (and five of Courtney\u2019s) as a result.\u00a0 Jeffrey has a good mix of teachers for his senior year; I was really impressed with all the teachers.\u00a0 When we got home, the first thing the kids asked was how we viewed each teacher.\u00a0 Jeffrey had a differing opinion about one of the teachers (my favorite of the group!), stating that what he said is not what he actually does, but aside from that, we pretty much agreed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
